At 50% added, there is plenty of space for non-food items, including an exciting Cook shop carrying a mixture of John Lewis and own-supplier plates, cups and saucers, kettles, microwaves and other kitchen and household goods.
"We're primarily a food retailer, but we have added to our offer in an exciting way with an extended, non-food range," said Paul Reeley (Branch Manager).
The new-look, extended store was opened after five days of really hard graft by all staff, who had been working in awkward conditions as the rebuilding took place around them. While sales continued, the old front-of-store trolly park was extended to become a new coffee shop and many of the old aisles were blocked off in order to build new shelving.
Paul and his team would like to sincerly thank customers for their co-operation and support during several months of building works. "The end result is a simply stunning transformation, we hope you enjoy your new shopping experience" said Paul.
The new look store includes enlarged Meat, Fish, Delicatessen and Patisserie counters, an enhanced Fruit and Vegetable department, Salad and Olive Bars, in fact everything Waitrose has to offer.
